Living Your Ideal 100 Year Lifestyle

Living Your Ideal 100 Year Lifestyle

My friend and colleague Dr. Fabrizio Mancini hosts a weekly show on Hay House Radio. It’s called “Self-Healing with Dr. Fab” and it was inspired by the book, “The Power of Self-Healing”, which I reviewed last year on my “Health with a Healing Touch” blog on AreaVoices when it was first released .

I often recommend Dr. Fab’s book to new patients, as it gives a wonderful overview of the dimensions of health and healing. I find this understanding to be an important element in the journey to greater health and a happier life overall.  And, Dr. Fab’s weekly show on Hay House Radio never fails to disappoint. Some of his past shows have included themes that are of utmost importance to the patients of our office such as, raising healthy children in a sick world, the healing powers of the body, health during pregnancy and delivery, and many more.

However, it’s not just the show’s topic that is interesting and inspiring. Part of the show includes time for Dr. Fab to take calls from listeners. You can literally hear their desperation as they share about their health challenges, their feelings of helplessness after having tried every treatment without results, their fear that they’ll never heal. It’s all too familiar; I hear these same stories from new patients in our office almost daily. I’m grateful that Dr. Fab is there to reassure them, to decipher the messages their bodies are sending, and offer them advice, help and hope, as they continue their healing journeys.

In reviewing his list of upcoming show topics, I noticed the theme of his next show, and from his guest and the title alone, I know it’s going to be great, “Living Your Ideal 100 Year Lifestyle“.

The 100 year old age group is the world’s fastest growing. Whether we like it or not, want to or not, we are the first generation in history that will probably live longer than we ever thought. The question is, will we be 100 years old and thriving (actually living) or 100 years old and surviving (alive but without any real quality of life)?

Dr. Fab’s guest on the show is Dr. Eric Plasker, international bestselling author of “The 100 Year Lifestyle”. On the show they will discuss how you can not only live to be 100, but how to get there in style and enjoy the journey. I don’t know about you, but that’s what I want for my future!

The show will air at 10:00am (CST) tomorrow, Thursday, June 13, 2013 via live stream at www.hayhouseradio.com. If you can’t catch it live, you can visit their website to listen to the live stream replay or the show via the archives (it’s available free for 1 week).

Dr. Fab has been a mentor and inspiration to me; we share the same no-nonsense, natural approach to health and healing. I have no doubt you’ll learn a great deal from this episode and his future shows.

When Did You Stop Blaming Your Parents?

Yesterday as I was writing a chapter in my book (YAY, I’m finally doing it…stay tuned!), I remembered a turning-point conversation 7 years ago. Topic: Blaming my parents for everything negative in my life.

I was at a Women of Faith Conference in Minneapolis with my mom, aunt and great-aunt…
