New Year, New You – Post Holiday Hangover

Make this your New Year’s resolution: Do More For You! Make time for you. If you think you’re too busy, you are. If you think you have time for yourself, you do.

Your actions are synonymous to your mindset and your belief in how life should be.

A few years ago, everyone’s resolution was to exercise more and eat better. That’s boring. And limited. We do need to take care of ourselves, but exercise and diet are just parts of to an overall picture.

I don’t believe we can ever be too busy to focus on our health – the other option is to have poor health that we cannot reverse. If we don’t take care of ourselves, we have trouble giving of ourselves, to our family, friends and work. Focusing on self is a big topic, though rarely implemented, and here we are with a new year and a clean slate. Make a date with yourself.

We are hard on ourselves, never thinking that we do enough at work, at home, in our relationships.

Holiday stresses and excesses take their toll, and January is a great time to get back on track. Look at the big picture: are you exhibiting these symptoms?

  1. Are you experiencing pain such as headaches, tension or strain?
  2. Is your immune system struggling, fighting a virus or infection?
  3. Is  your digestive system rumbling with gas, bloating, constipation, heartburn or other ailments?
  4. Are you experiencing sleep fatigue and lack of quality sleep?
  5. Do you feel mentally overwhelmed?
  6. Are you emotionally overloaded?

Addressing these signs of nervous system rebellion is the best resolution to start your New Year.

Stress wreaks havoc on the nervous system. These symptoms can be signs from your body and it’s your job to figure it out. I suggest getting your system checked for stress, to see how your body is working. I can help and support you in your journey and give you hope that life can be great again. You just need to commit. To yourself.
