Simple Steps to a Prescription-Free Lifestyle

Simple Steps to a Prescription-Free Lifestyle

Society has created a quick fix world and with that comes confusion on what ‘true health’ really is. Instead of true health being a reflection of overall well-being, we have come to conclude that health is the absence of symptoms, even if those symptoms are simply being masked by a chemical drug. Health only happens from the inside out. The use of medications (prescriptions or over the counter) is not health.

The average American aged 19 to 64 now takes close to 12 prescription drugs every year. The average senior typically fills over 31 prescriptions every year. Even children between the ages of 0 and 18 are taking on average nearly 4 prescriptions annually. Prescription drug use in the United States, both unnecessary prescriptions and prescription drug abuse, is an epidemic!

One of the most important lessons you’ll ever learn is this: Nothing can heal you from the outside. You do not need medicine or surgery to be or stay healthy. If your stomach is hurting, the cure does not lie within the Pepto-Bismol bottle. If you have a headache, you will not be healed by Advil. If you sprain your ankle, the solution is not in pain relievers, muscle relaxants, or even surgery. If you are depressed, you cannot rely on Zoloft to be and stay healthy and happy. All of these outside-in approaches may serve a purpose for a short amount of time, but will not cure the problem. Instead it will mask the problem, and most likely exacerbate into other systemic dysfunction.

Why has society lost faith in the human body? If you take great care of your body, mind and soul you will be rewarded with overall health. And the best part is that it doesn’t take a giant risk to start making changes today. Try these simple ideas:

  • Get your nervous system adjusted as it controls every other part of our body.
  • Get 7-8 hours of quality of sleep nightly.
  • Eat breakfast.
  • Start your day with affirmations and/or prayer.
  • Send a thank you note to someone you love.
  • Consume whole foods.
  • Do your best.
  • Drink ½ of your body-weight in water.
  • Smile.
  • Get movement daily.
  • Look at yourself in the mirror and say “I Love You”.
  • Fill yourself with knowledge and good thoughts.
  • Focus on the life you want.

I challenge you to choose differently; choose health over drugs. Focus on the miracle within you; feel the power inside you; have confidence in the body’s healing ability. The doctor within all of us has the answers if you choose to ask and listen. When you change your mind, you change your life.

Are You In The Top 4%?

Tony Robbins states: 96% of businesses fail in the first 10 years.

That’s a HUGE number. That means that only 4% of businesses make it past 10 years. And by ‘make it’, I don’t mean that they’ve succeeded, but at least survived.

Hmm, where in your life have you not been succeeding, but surviving?
